The bird of paradise is one of my favorite flowers and one of my favorites to paint. When my garden bird of paradise are ready to bloom I often think about Hawaii. It is where I fell in love with this flower. It brings back fond memories and my husband and I  vowed we would go back again. That's a 'tropical promise' I hope we keep.
